Blink Cameras have their own unique set of features and controls. Still, if you don’t know much about how to mount Blink camera, you may face initial troubles with its usage and handling.
Most of the Blink cameras come on board with a big list of features like wireless design, cloud, and local storage, and long battery life. You will also get the facility of night vision, two-way audio and high-quality HD resolution.
Blink cameras are quite apt for users that look forward to uninterrupted video surveillance without paying any hefty charges for the service. Currently, Blink is offering three options of security cameras to their global users- Blink Mini, Blink Indoor, and Blink outdoor.
Out of three, two of the camera models, namely Blink indoor and Blink outdoor, come on board with a wire-free service. That means you need to worry about that entire wiring thing tangled around your home or office premises.
On the other side, the Blink mini also uses a small power cord required to connect it to the wireless network. No matter what Blink camera you are using, all of them function while using the Blink Sync Module.
This sync module works as a perfect bridge while establishing a connection between the security camera and the wireless network. Moreover, if you have a USB flash drive, you can further use this Sync as an efficient storage option.
It must be mentioned that the Sync module comes as an extra cost to this device, but it still supports up to 10 cameras at the same time.
Motion alerts on your smartphone
Once the camera detects any unwanted motion around your vicinity, it directly sends the alerts to your smartphone. If you have the subscription plan for Blink sync module, you can store the same videos to cloud storage and then view them on the Blink app.
The same recordings will then be transported to the Sync module if you are using a USB flash drive. So, being a user, you don’t need to worry much about any intruder or trespasser within your surrounding.
Local storage and cloud storage option
Besides the motion detection facility, you will also get the option to store the recorded videos in local or cloud storage. Cloud storage comes as a more convenient option, but you still have to pay an extra charge.
Still, the charge is quite nominal at $3 per month, so you can opt for it without worrying much about the safety and security of your home or office premises.
The Blink camera brings along a mounting bracket and a set of screws in the security camera package. Still, if you need more screws or accessories, you need to purchase them separately. Once you have secured all the required tools and accessories, you can start ahead with the mounting process.

Once done, tap on the Camera icon to use the Live view feature of the camera. The feature must be used once the camera is placed and installed at your preferred location. This needs to be done to check for the preferred view of the location.
As the location and position have been decided, you can then screw mount while making a hole in the wall surface. Once the camera has been rightly mounted, you can now use the rotate it with the hinges’ help to pick the desired angle.
